Kayla Schlarb, MA, BCBA, LBA is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Licensed Behavior Analyst in the state of Texas. She received her M.A. in Applied Behavior Analysis from Arizona State University and her B.S.Ed. in Special Education with a minor in Child and Family Development from the University of Georgia.
Over the course of ten years, Kayla has been working closely with individuals with disabilities, with a specialty in serving individuals with autism and their family members. She has provided support, consultation, and trainings to many employers, educators, childcare providers, and stakeholders.
Her experience includes:
- 5 years as a SPED teacher to high schoolers diagnosed with ASD in one of the largest school districts in the nation (Gwinnett County Public Schools).
- 3 years experience as Registered Behavior Technician in the clinical and home settings.
- 2 years experience in the clinical setting as a clinical supervisor focusing on the oversight of behavior technicians, treatment delivery and integrity, and training and support for stakeholders involved in the success of individuals receiving services.
Her passion includes not only working directly with her clients, but educating stakeholders about how to provide support and create an inclusive environment for individuals with disabilities and autism spectrum disorder.
As a mother to two boys herself, Kayla understands the challenges and rewards of being a parent. Empowering and educating individuals about disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and behavior is Kayla’s passion and purpose in life.
